Skilling Project
Support from the Resolution Project, we are passing on hands on skilling project in Ruhinda Sub county, Rukungiri in South Western Uganda that looks to give permanent craftsmanship to the beneficiaries hence enabling self-employment and boosting incomes in families while conserving the environment.
We have identified marginalized individuals that we will equip with hands on skills in weaving, crocheting, sewing and general craftsmanship and provide them with materials that they cannot access easily to make highly demanded local products, and well connect them to markets in Urban markets for friendly sales.
This project is targeting 50 individuals to be equipped with hands-on skills in weaving, crocheting and tailoring to make highly demanded local products with locally available eco friendly materials to bring them an income by June 2023.
We will have enabled employment opportunities both directly and indirectly, multiplier effect as every beneficiary shall be required to pass on the skills to other individuals by the end of 2023 that will bring the number of beneficiaries to around 100.
For sustainability, we will start up saving and lending schemes for the beneficiaries in two local communities of Rwamugoma and Ndere and monitor their growth for at least one year.
this project of community based vocational skilling will be fitter extended to other areas to increase our canny area and beneficiaries to at least 1000 by 2025.
