Teens mentorship program
TOORA realizes a widened gap between the parents and their children in the dynamic and demanding world. This is because most parents have limited time for their children and this has left children susceptible teenage pregnancies, mental health disorders, undue peer pressure, addiction to drugs, unhealthy relationships and poor academic performance in schools.
The Goal of the program is to create an informed generation of responsible, self-driven, flexible and adaptive present and future leaders who can transform communities. We realize that there is a lot more than classroom education that children need to manage the challenges they face while growing up.
Our Mentorship Model:
Our mentees are categorized into three (3) categories based on age, learning ability and their needs as explained by psychological perspectives. These categories are;
6 – 12 years
12 – 18 years
18 – 24 years
We conduct our mentorship sessions 3 times a year during the academic holidays (1st, 2nd, 3rd breaks) and Annual Teens Bootcamp. The TEENS MENTORSHIP PROGRAM supports evidence-based interventions proven to mitigate the impact of the challenges adolescents and youth face in communities, equipping them with the basic information, networks and opportunities to support them towards their growth.
